distracted is a browser extension that blocks distracting websites by requiring brief challenges before access. This policy explains data handling.

Stored locally on your device:
- Blocked site configuration: Website URLs/patterns you configure, challenge settings, auto-relock preferences
- Optional statistics (if enabled): Visit count, challenge completion count, time spent on sites after unlocking
- Extension settings: Whether statistics tracking is enabled
We do NOT collect: Personally identifiable information, health information, financial information, authentication credentials, personal communications, location data, complete browsing history, data from websites you visit.
DATA STORAGE AND TRANSMISSION
All data stored locally using browser storage APIs. No data transmitted to external servers or third parties. No analytics or tracking services. No network requests to external servers.
DATA ACCESS AND CONTROL
You control your data: Disable statistics through settings, clear statistics through settings, delete blocked sites anytime, uninstalling removes all data.
DATA RETENTION
Data retained until you delete it through settings, clear browser extension storage, or uninstall the extension.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
No third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools used.
CHANGES TO POLICY
Policy may be updated. Last Updated date indicates changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
