I enjoy using numerical simulation, scientific machine learning, and differentiable models to understand complex physical systems, from Earth’s atmosphere and climate to other planets and worlds.
My current focus is on making high-performance atmospheric models differentiable, enabling gradient-based inference, calibration, optimization, and sensitivity analysis in climate and planetary systems.
